Partner with Hagar
Why partner with Hagar?
There are an estimated 40 million people in slavery in the world today. The majority of these people live in the Asia Pacific region. With human trafficking being the fastest growing international crime, and with each person who has been trafficked, enslaved or abused they have experienced deep trauma. They need long-term support to heal and rebuild their life. Many organisations focus on liberating people from slavery but, for Hagar, that is where our life-transforming work begins.
How Hagar helps
Hagar works with women and children who have been trafficked, enslaved or abused in the countries of Cambodia, Vietnam and Afghanistan.
We support them to overcome the trauma they have experienced and rebuild their lives by providing them with:
• A safe place to live
• Medical and dental care
• Specialist trauma counselling
• Legal support to help bring perpetrators to justice
• The chance to complete school
• Vocational training or a university scholarship
• Job placement.
We call this the whole journey.
Partnering with Hagar
Hagar is increasingly looking to focus, deepen and formalise its major partnerships, giving major partners greater profile and exposure and working closely with them over a number of years. We want our partners to feel really proud of their association with Hagar and the incredible work that we do.
Hagar offers our partners:
· Hosting solutions – tickets for partner’s clients and staff to Hagar’s major events.
“As a first timer to Hagar’s ladies lunch, I was excited to see such a great, dynamic group of women and how passionate everyone was… The emotional speech made by a survivor was raw and heartfelt and made me have a greater understanding of what can be done to improve the life of so many women. I can’t wait to attend next year’s lunch…” Cheyka Keebaugh, Co-Founder of The Big Group.
· Inspiring speakers – for the partner’s own events.
“I have already received the most effusive praise from my guests about your talk,” Kate Hay, Partner, Corrs Chambers Westgarth.
· Staff engagement and wellbeing opportunities – including volunteer days, corporate gift giving, and staff incentive opportunities to visit our programs in Cambodia.
“Just wanted to send you a huge thank you for having Ali and I part of the Hagar tour. We are so impressed with your work, and equally impressed with the team you have on the ground in Cambodia too! We learnt so much, and have left the experience with even more love in our hearts and passion in our souls!” Kylie Wallace, Campaign Manager, YGAP.
· Brand positioning – in Hagar’s publications, social media and at our events.
