We were privileged to brief Australian MPs in Phnom Penh on January 18, 2016 about the challenges of labour migration and the importance of comprehensive recovery services. The MPs visited Cambodia as part of a learning tour organised by Save the Children to enable them to see first-hand a range of projects being funded by Australian Aid.
The delegation included Gai Brodtmann, Shadow Parliamentary Secretary for Defence and Darren Chester, Assistant Minister for Defence as well as other local MPs and political reporter, Charles Croucher.
The visit was a welcome opportunity for Hagar to showcase our cutting-edge programs, thank the Australian Government for its support and discuss future strategies to prevent trafficking and protect human rights in Cambodia.
